Reflection about Rukun islam, current issues: divorce & random sharing.
Assalamualaikum hi everyone. So today I want to talk about 3 topics that I learned in the usrah class on that day with sister Fida, which is our naqibah. Okay so first topic, about the pillars of Islam, next about current issues; divorce, and finally random sharing. Okay let's move for explanation and elaboration that I got from the sharing session on that day.
wassalam.
A. RUKUN ISLAM
1. Saying shahadah words,
- Shahadah is the witness or confession of someone to something. When a person says shahadah, it means that he has confessed with his tongue or expressed his belief in Islam. When saying shahadah, a person has officially embraced Islam.
- Arabic texs:
- لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
- Translation:
- LA ILA HA ILLALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH.
- Tiada Tuhan melainkan ALLAH, Nabi Muhammad itu pesuruh Allah.
2. Perform solah
- All Muslims who have reached puberty and are not insane must perform obligatory prayers five times a day and night. Starting with subooh (2 rak'ats), zuhoor (4 rak'ats), asr (4 rak'ats), maghrib (3 rak'ats) and finally ishak (4 rak'ats). Originally, the prayer that was commanded to the Messenger of God was 50 times a day and night, but when he arrived in the sixth heaven, the Messenger of God met Prophet Moses who advised him to meet God again to request a reduction in prayer. And the process is repeated until the number of prayers is reduced to 5 times a day and night.
3. Fasting in holy ramadhan
- In the month of Ramadhan, all Muslims who have attained puberty, are intelligent, and are able to fast must fast during that month. It is obligatory to fast for a month. From sunrise to sunset. (from subooh to maghrib). The purpose of fasting is to refrain from hunger and thirst, as well as control their passions from committing any kind of major and minor sins. Allah very love his servants who follow his commandments and avoid his prohibitions.
4. Pay the zakat
-One of the obligations of Muslims is to pay zakat. Zakat is an act of worship that is included in the pillars of Islam. For every Muslim who has stable finances, or is able, it is obligatory for him to pay zakat to people in need.
5. Perform Haji for those who can afford it
- Haji is the fifth pillar of Islam. For those who are physically and financially strong, they are obliged to fulfill this fifth pillar of Islam. Allah SWT said in Surah Al Imran, Verse 97 which means:
"Making Haji is a human duty to Allah, that is (for) those who are willing to travel to Baitullah. Whoever disobeys (the obligation of Haji), then verily Allah is Rich (does not need anything) from the universe."
B. CURRENT ISSUES : DIVORCE
Divorce meaning :
-Ending the marriage relationship either by the choice of the husband or by the decision of the qadi.
In terms of LANGUAGE; Split up
In terms of TERMS; The collapse of the marriage relationship and the severance of the relationship between husband and wife for a reasons.
The words of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, in a hadith,
"There is nothing that God hates except divorce, and any woman who asks for divorce from her husband without reason, then the smell of heaven is forbidden to her."
Causes of divorce:
1. Weakness in communication
2. Management in financial problems
3. Lack of knowledge in marriage
4. Sexual problems
5. Not understanding the responsibilities in the household
C. RANDOM SHARING :
SUMMARIZING ABOUT THE PILLARS OF ISLAM
- Overall, as Muslims who believe in Allah SWT, we should obey his orders. God has made us the best thing ever. Thankful for every favor and gift of God to us. Obey God's orders and leave his prohibitions. May we be able to become a useful Muslim in this world and the hereafter. Uphold the teachings of Islam, may we be in faith. Aamiin allahuma aamiin
